Job summary

DLP Northern Services is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager in Liverpool to take ownership of delivering client contracts safely, on time and within budget. You will lead Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors, building strong client relationships and driving performance across programmes and costs.

The role demands commercial focus, robust leadership and a proactive approach to risks and improvements, with a strong emphasis on health and safety and quality for all works.

Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the delivery of client contracts, ensuring KPIs, quality standards, programmes and contractual requirements are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support operational teams, ensuring resources and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
  • Monitor contract performance, costs, risks and opportunities, taking corrective action where required.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to ensure contracts are delivered profitably and entitlements are protected.
  • Ensure works meet health and safety, quality and environmental standards with a zero-tolerance approach to safety.
  • Develop programmes of work, resource plans and performance reports for senior management.
  • Lead client and operational performance meetings and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and business development.
  • Coach and develop team members to foster accountability and high performance.
  • Ensure the team delivers on commitments and maintains customer and resident satisfaction.

Contracts Manager

Reporting To: Roofing Director

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of client contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard, on programme and within budget.

This is a key operational role, acting as the main point of contact for clients and providing leadership to Site Managers, Project Managers, TLOs, operatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take overall responsibility for the effective management and delivery of client contracts, ensuring agreed KPIs, quality standards, programmes and contractual requirements are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and support operational teams, ensuring resources, labour and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
  • Monitor contract performance, costs, risks and opportunities, taking corrective action where required.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager and wider commercial team to ensure contracts are delivered profitably and contractual entitlements are protected.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety, quality and environmental requirements, maintaining a strong zero-tolerance approach to health and safety .
  • Develop programmes of work, resource plans and operational reports, providing clear performance information to senior management.
  • Lead client and operational performance meetings and ensure actions are effectively communicated and followed through.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and business development.
  • Coach and develop team members, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Ensure the team consistently delivers on commitments made to clients and maintains a strong focus on customer and resident satisfaction.
