Job summary

Kingsley Roofing London is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead contracts delivery on Commercial Construction Projects. The role involves full commercial ownership of high-value contracts and close collaboration with main contractors.

You will manage pre- and post-construction activities, on-site procurement, H&S, and client communications to ensure contractual scopes are met. Caterham-based, Q2 2024 start.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Contracts Manager in Commercial Construction Projects.
  • Ability to adapt, be detail-oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all construction activity associated to the Project.
  • Manage all associated commercial costing including variations.
  • Maintain health and Safety standards on site.
  • Ensure work complies with Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Organise and supervise plant, craneage, materials, labour and sub-contractors to meet programme requirements.
  • Check quality against specifications and drawings.
  • Coordinate deliveries with Main Contractor on-site systems.
  • Attend meetings with Client/Main Contractor as required.
  • Supervise sub-contract labour to ensure work meets requirements.
  • Give weekly Toolbox Talks to labour and sub-contractors.

About the role

Kingsley Roofing London is developing at a fast rate, creating opportunities for internal growth and working with some of the most respected names within the construction sector, having recently been awarded some exciting Projects.

We operate within the: Commercial, Leisure, Industrial, Education, Retail and Public Sector, partnering with some of the largest main contractors in the UK. Our client base is growing monthly as we venture into new markets.

Due to this growth, we are now looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager, with a background in Construction/Building Envelope or Roofing Projects that can take the Contracts Delivery Business Area to the next phase of growth.

The role is a senior role within the business and holds a high level of Main Contractor relationship management and full commercial ownership of high value contracts (£1- £5M).

The role will include all aspects of contracts management, including all pre and post construction activity, site and installation, procurement and H&S, along with management of all communication with the end client to ensure that all work scope is achieved in line with contractual expectation.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee all construction activity associated to the Project
  • Manage all associated commercial costing of the Project to include any variation activity.
  • Maintain health and Safety standards on site
  • Ensuring that work is carried out in strict accordance with Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Assess tasks, to produce, amend or add to Method Statements and Risk Assessments as required.
  • To organise and supervise plant, craneage, materials, labour and sub-contractors to meet programme requirements.
  • Check quality, ensuring that work conforms with specification and drawings.
  • To co-ordinate deliveries with Main Contractor’s on-site systems.
  • Attend meetings with Client/ Main Contractor as required.Supervise sub-contract labour to ensure work meets our requirements.
  • To give weekly Toolbox Talks to labour and sub-contractors.

We are seeking someone that can demonstrate previous experience as a Contracts Manager, within Commercial Construction Projects.

You will be adaptable, be a detailed person and must hold strong organisational skills.
