Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. in East Devon seeks a Contract Manager to lead the operational delivery of Response/Maintenance contracts, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget.

You will develop and mentor a team including apprentices, build strong relationships across internal and client teams, and oversee recruitment, onboarding, and site safety compliance to sustain high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading contract delivery in service/maintenance environments.
• Proven leadership of direct labour teams and apprentices.
• Strong health and safety management and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder engagement.
• SMSTS qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of Response/Maintenance workstreams, ensuring on-time, on-budget project completion.
• Inspire and develop the team, including apprentices, through hands-on leadership and development.
• Build internal and external relationships to ensure successful contract delivery.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
• Prioritise health and safety across all sites with robust controls.
• Manage resources and reporting, coordinating subcontractors and materials.
