Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is seeking a Contract Manager to lead operational delivery of Response and Maintenance workstreams in the East Devon area. You will drive on-time, on-budget contracts while developing your team, including apprentices, and building strong internal and external relationships.

Candidates will prioritise health and safety, manage resources and reporting, and oversee recruitment and onboarding to ensure seamless project execution. DBS checks and equal opportunity commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of direct labour teams.

• Experience in Health and Safety management.

• Strong planning, delivery and reporting skills.

• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Excel to produce performance reports.

• SMSTS qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of the Response/ Maintenance workstreams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Inspire and develop your team, including apprentices, through hands-on leadership and development.
• Build relationships internally and externally to ensure successful contract delivery.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding to integrate new team members effectively.
• Prioritise health and safety across all sites with robust controls.
• Manage resources and reporting, coordinating subcontractors, materials and plant, and maintain site reports.
