Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee social housing contracts in the South West, with base in Yeovil and travel across the region.

You will lead site managers delivering responsive repairs and void works, ensuring safety, on-programme delivery, budget and quality. Strong client relationships and effective team leadership are essential to delivering excellent customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing responsive repairs and void contracts in a social housing environment.
• Experience leading operational teams and site-based resources.
• Strong understanding of KPIs, schedules of rates, and contract performance.
• SMSTS or NVQ qualification (or willingness to renew).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team delivering responsive repairs and void works.
• Manage contract delivery, programmes, budgets, and resources.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained across all operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings to review performance and future works.
• Monitor KPIs, WIP, and contract targets.
• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure delivery.
• Ensure all contract documentation and reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Contracts Manager – Social Housing

Location: Yeovil (covering Bristol, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Somerset & Wiltshire)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

Build Recruitment is representing a leading social housing contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee responsive repairs and void works across the South West region.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Site Managers delivering responsive repairs and void works. You will ensure contracts are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, operational teams, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships, improve performance, and deliver successful contract outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
