Contracts Manager - Shopfitting & Fit-Out

• Location: Bristol / South West
• Salary: £65,000 per annum
• Car: Company car or £400 per month car allowance
• Holiday: 33 days per annum
• Probation: 3 months

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join an established and successful business operating within the shopfitting and commercial fit-out sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Manager with strong industry knowledge who is looking to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a range of shopfitting and fit-out projects across the region.

The successful candidate will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing projects from inception through to completion, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple shopfitting and fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of allocated contracts.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout projects.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Monitoring project programmes, costs and commercial performance.
• Managing variations, contractual issues and project changes.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial and operational risks.
• Working closely with the estimating, commercial and operational teams.
• Ensuring projects comply with relevant health & safety, quality and contractual requirements.
• Attending site and client meetings as required.
• Providing regular project updates and reporting on progress.
• Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in line with client expectations.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within shopfitting, retail fit-out, commercial fit-out or a closely related sector.
• Strong knowledge of the fit-out industry and associated construction processes.
• Experience managing multiple projects and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and contractual requirements.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
• A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel to project sites.

Location & Travel

The role will be based around the Bristol area, with regular travel to project sites.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates should ideally be located within approximately one hour's travel of the company's Bristol offices.
