Job summary

Our client, an electrical contractor based in County Durham, seeks a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple nationwide projects, manage site meetings, client relations, budgeting, and resource planning. The role requires a qualified electrician background, strong communication, and ability to travel across the UK.

You will coordinate with the estimating team and ensure timely delivery within cost constraints. Role is full-time and site-based with travel to customer sites across the UK.

Contracts Manager - Electrical

Business Background

My client is a Electrical Contractor based in County Durham specialising in Retail, Commercial, Industrial installations, new build and revamp.

Candidate Requirements

• We require an experienced Project or Contracts Manager to oversee the day to day running of ongoing contracts. Sites are throughout the UK.
• Required to attend site meetings, resolve site issues and ensure that projects are completed to a good standard and on time, to maintain good client relations and to complete projects within budget and to prepare cost variations and negotiate final accounts statements.
• Role will also involve reviewing estimates and coordination with the estimating team.
• Must be able to manage numerous projects at any one time, due to the nature and scale, and to plan resources, both labour and materials for numerous projects to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Candidate must liaise regularly with existing customers and follow up leads to generate new work.
• Must be able to communicate confidently and clearly with clients, site staff and subcontractors.

Required Experience/Skills

• Qualified time served Electrician with sound electrical knowledge
• Experience of site work preferably retail/commercial sectors
• Be prepared to travel nationwide to service our clients who operate throughout the UK
• Be Flexible - Working hours to suit customer meetings/site needs
• Have a sound financial understanding and an ability to work within cost and resource constraints.
• Be able to communicate well at all levels
• Have excellent IT skills
• Electrical Design and Build experience an advantage
• Have ability to work within tight time deadlines
