Job summary

Purely Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Contracts Manager (Commercial) for a full-time role in Swindon. You will manage electrical tenders, liaise with clients and design teams, and oversee bid finalisation with a focus on commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities include preparing RFIs, pricing sub-contractors, and maintaining detailed estimating records. A time-served electrician with strong estimating experience is essential, with full driving licence and CSCS advantageous.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with proven electrical estimating experience.
• Commercial/industrial estimating experience is required.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and project specifications.
• Hold a valid full driving licence.
• CSCS card is advantageous; DBS check is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and submit electrical tenders with deadlines.
• Prepare RFIs during tender stages and liaise with clients, consultants and design teams.
• Price procurement of sub-contractors and establish long lead items.
• Measure works and create itemised Bills of Quantities as needed.
• Finalize tender bids, attend pre-order meetings and hand over package to M&E Contracts Managers.
• Liaise with clients on electrical project variations and document approvals.
• Maintain accurate estimating records using estimating software and MS Office.

Contracts Manager 'Commercial'

Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an Contracts Manager 'Commercial' to join our client.

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Duties will include:

• Review, preparation and submission of Electrical tenders, ensuring that all return date deadlines are met.
• Preparation and submission of Requests for Information (RFIs) during the tender stage, maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants and design teams to clarify project requirements.
• Pricing Procurement, sub-contractors, specialist sub-contractors & establish long lead time items etc
• Ability to measure elements of works and create itemised Bills of Quantities as necessary
• Finalisation of all tender bids, attend pre-order meetings, secure contracts and hand over package to M&E Contracts Managers.
• Liaison with clients with regards to Electrical project variations and ensuring that all variations are recorded and instructed where deemed necessary.
• Creating and maintaining accurate estimating records using the company's estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite of software tools.

The Person:

• To be considered for this role, you must be fully qualified and have proven, previous experience as an Electrical Estimator ideally with a similar sized or larger organisation.
• Proficient commercial / industrial electrical estimating experience
• Ability to read mechanical & electrical drawings and project specifications
• A full driving licence
• CSCS an advantage
• DBS an advantage (Can be applied for)
• Ideally you will be a Time Served Electrician, progressed as an Estimator having worked in a Commercial, Industrial environment. Work accurately and effectively with minimal supervision, work well under pressure.
