Job summary

Speyhawk Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee electrical packages across fast-paced retail and commercial fit-out projects in Hertfordshire.

You will manage from mobilisation to completion, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, clients and main contractors to deliver safely and to high standards. The role requires 5+ years in commercial/retail electrical fit-out and relevant qualifications such as NICEIC, JIB Gold Card, ECS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial/retail electrical fit-out.
• Qualified electrical certifications: NICEIC/JIB/ECS.
• Knowledge of electrical/building regulations and site safety.

Responsibilities

Electrical Contracts Manager | Retail Fit-Out | Hertfordshire

Up to £65,000 per annum plus car or travel allowance, health, pension and bonus

The Role

A tradition main contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee electrical packages across fast-paced retail and commercial fit-out projects.

This is a hands-on contract management role suited to someone who understands the demands of fast-track live retail environments, where programme, quality, compliance and client expectations are critical.

You will manage electrical works from mobilisation through to completion, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, designers and main contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical packages across retail and commercial fit-out projects, including high-street stores, shopping centres and other customer-facing environments.
• Review electrical and architectural drawings, identifying design issues and potential clashes before works commence.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and other trades.
• Manage project costs, budgets and variations, identifying and addressing potential cost overruns or delays.
• Ensure installations comply with current electrical regulations, Building Regulations, health & safety requirements and client/brand standards.
• Resolve technical and operational issues quickly to maintain programme.

About You

You will be an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager with a strong background in commercial or retail fit-out.

You should have:

• 5+ years' experience within commercial or retail electrical fit-out.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as NICEIC, JIB Gold Card, ECS/ECS Management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations, Building Regulations and construction site compliance.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors, site teams and multiple stakeholders.

SMSTS, NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualifications would be advantageous.
