Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Scotland. This permanent role offers the opportunity to lead and manage contracts on a range of high-profile developments in the Dundee area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, commercial, and project requirements.
  • Develop, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, variations, and commercial performance.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to senior management and project teams.
  • Manage risk, claims, and dispute resolution effectively to protect the business.
  • Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and contract records are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction sector (main contracting background preferred).
  • Strong understanding of UK construction law, contract types, and commercial management best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, claims, and variations on complex construction projects.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. RICS, CIOB or equivalent).
