Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Contracts Manager for a respected social housing group in Suffolk, overseeing the delivery of planned refurbishment programmes across the housing stock. The role covers multiple workstreams with project values up to £3m, ensuring safety, programme, budget and quality.

You will lead site management and resident liaison teams, maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, and drive monthly valuations, variations and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience as Contracts Manager or Project Manager on projects up to £3m.
• Experience in contract administration, planning, estimating, tender processes, health & safety, and staff management.
• Experience delivering planned works within occupied environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of multiple planned refurbishment workstreams, with individual project values of up to £3m.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
• Leading, supporting, and developing site management, supervisory, and resident liaison teams.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders.
• Attending progress meetings and undertaking site visits as required.
• Overseeing monthly valuations, variations, cost reporting, and overall commercial performance.
• Supporting the preparation of estimates, tenders, and forward programmes.
• Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, statutory, and contractual requirements.
• Maintaining accurate contract documentation, reporting, and governance processes.

As aContracts Manager, you will manage multiple workstreams with individual project values of up to £3m, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. The successful Contracts Manager will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Extensive experience working as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager across a variety of projects valued up to £3m
• Experience in contract administration, planning, estimating, tender processes, health & safety, and staff management
• Experience delivering planned works within occupied environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
• The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages
• City & Guilds qualification in a construction trade

An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
