Job summary

Sovereign Network Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Contracts Officer to lead the operational delivery of servicing and maintenance contracts across residential and non-residential portfolios. Based at The Hive in Wembley with travel to Basingstoke and other offices, you’ll oversee contract performance, compliance, and value-for-money initiatives.

You will work closely with contractors, Property Services teams, and internal stakeholders, analysing data, managing WIP and escalating issues

Qualifications

• Experience in contractor management and contract administration.
• Knowledge of compliance and/or mechanical/electrical (M&E) disciplines.
• Strong customer focus with excellent service.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical skills with performance data.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Social housing experience.
• Experience managing compliance programmes.
• Understanding statutory compliance obligations in housing.
• Qualification in compliance discipline or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operational management of servicing and maintenance contracts.
• Work with contractors and Property Services teams to ensure service delivery.
• Monitor contract performance and develop improvement actions.
• Analyse KPI reports to support decision-making.
• Manage works in progress (WIP), aged cases and high-profile repairs.
• Escalate issues and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve.
• Support compliance and servicing programmes to meet contractual requirements.
• Oversee customer case management and communicate with vulnerable customers.
• Maintain audit trails and records for contracts.
• Coordinate contractor access for inspections and maintenance.
• Prepare agendas and track actions for operational meetings.
• Maintain financial controls and ensure value for money.
