Job summary

Veolia in Northampton is recruiting a Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, working 40 hours per week with a salary of £36,885.33 per year plus benefits. You will ensure risk and assurance targets are met, handle inquiries and complaints, conduct site inspections, and supervise staff to maintain quality and safety standards while promoting a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational targets for Risk & Assurance, report incidents and close calls on AVA
• Handle enquiries and complaints for the service
• Plan and deliver day-to-day operations (staffing, resources, closing out events)
• Carry out site inspections and monitor permit compliance
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards
• Facilitate visitor and contractor safety, incl permits to work
• Stop the Job and report any safety issues
• Lead by example to develop a proactive safety culture
• Monitor team and site to ensure safe operations
• Ensure team are trained and monitored to maintain standards
• Provide feedback on near-misses to reinforce safe practices
• People management where required
• Undertake personal development to enhance knowledge and skills

What you'll be doing

• Ensure agreed operational targets are achieved in respect of Risk & Assurance performance, all accidents, incidents and close calls are reported on our internal system (AVA)
• Deal and manage the enquiries and complaints for the service.
• Plan and deliver day to day operations (staffing levels, resources, closing out events)
• Carrying out site inspections and monitoring for permit compliance
• Ensure completed work meets quality standards
• Facilitate visitor and contractor safety, incl permits to work
• Stop the Job and report any safety issues
• Lead by example and support the wider management team to show, promote and acknowledge positive behaviours and develop a proactive safety culture
• Monitoring team & site to ensure safe operations
• Ensure team are trained and monitored to ensure correct standard of working
• Keep the team engaged by feeding back on close calls and expect respect reports to develop a proactive safety culture
• People management (Where required)
• Undertake personal development to enhance knowledge and skill
