Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit-out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4–5. You’ll provide detailed mechanical design input for M&E contractor-led projects and coordinate with other Building Services disciplines.

The role is a 3-month contract with an immediate start, with a preference for at least three days per week in the Westerham office.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Building Services design experience.
• Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages.
• Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4–5.
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects.
• Ability to produce high-quality mechanical design information.
• Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ideal to work from Westerham office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects.
• Work primarily across RIBA Stages 4–5.
• Produce detailed mechanical design information.
• Support commercial fit-out schemes.
• Work on residential developments.
• Deliver design work for M&E contractor–led projects.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines.
• Review and develop technical design information.
• Support projects through detailed design and delivery stages.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors and wider project teams.
