Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit-out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4–5. You’ll provide detailed mechanical design input for M&E contractor-led projects and coordinate with other Building Services disciplines.

The role is a 3-month contract with an immediate start, with a preference for at least three days per week in the Westerham office.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Building Services design experience.
• Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages.
• Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4–5.
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects.
• Ability to produce high-quality mechanical design information.
• Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ideal to work from Westerham office at least three days per week.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit–out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4–5.

You’ll be working predominantly on projects delivered for M&E contractors, providing detailed mechanical design input through the later stages of project delivery.

This is an initial 3–month contract, with an immediate start available. The preference is for a minimum of three days per week in the Westerham office, although there is some flexibility around the working arrangement.

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

• Delivering mechanical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects
• Working primarily across RIBA Stages 4–5
• Producing detailed mechanical design information
• Supporting commercial fit–out schemes
• Working on residential developments
• Delivering design work for M&E contractor–led projects
• Coordinating mechanical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines
• Reviewing and developing technical design information
• Supporting projects through detailed design and delivery stages
• Working closely with engineers, contractors and wider project teams
