Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a Building Services consultancy. You will deliver electrical design input across commercial and residential projects in later RIBA stages, collaborating with M&E contractors.

The role is an initial 3-month contract with an immediate start, requiring roughly 37.5 hours per week and a preference for three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Must have strong experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Experience in Building Services/MEP design.
• Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages.
• Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4-5.
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects.
• Ability to produce high-quality electrical design information.
• Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ideally available to work from the office at least three days per week.
• Experience with M&E contractors or contractor-led project teams would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects.
• Work primarily across RIBA Stages 4-5.
• Produce detailed electrical design information.
• Support commercial fit-out schemes.
• Work across residential developments.
• Deliver design work for M&E contractor-led projects.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines.
• Review and develop technical design information.
• Support projects through detailed design and delivery stages.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and project teams.
