What you'll be doing:
Managing the provision of hard services in ambulatory care establishments, ensuring contractual and commercial requirements are met, including contract and business development, staff management, and maintaining sector-leading service standards.
More about the role:
- Facilities Management: Oversee delivery of hard services at Birmingham Treatment Centre PFI Project, including electrical, mechanical, fabric maintenance, specialist subcontractor services, landscaping, asset surveys, and lifecycle management.
- People/Team Management: Support, direct, and manage project staff, including performance management, motivation, and mentoring.
- Financial Management: Responsible for project P&L, budgeting, financial planning, and cost control, ensuring transparency with management accountants.
- Contract Performance Management: Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, maintain records, and identify areas for value improvement through effective management.
- Customer Service: Deliver sector-leading customer service to clients, users, and the public.
- Client and Customer Liaison: Maintain excellent relationships through regular contact and proactive engagement.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage contractors and service providers to ensure contractual, client, and budget compliance.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a safe environment, conduct risk assessments, and ensure statutory compliance.
- Quality & Environmental Management: Monitor quality standards, address non-conformities, and ensure policy adherence.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as required by the line manager.
Who you are:
Essential
- Management experience in FM roles, with comprehensive activity knowledge.
- Proven success managing healthcare PFI contracts.
- Experience managing complex service contracts and professional staff.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office.
- Recognized health and safety qualifications and experience in auditing H&S processes.
Desirable
- Ability to produce clear reports and analyze complex data.
- CPD or professional development plans.
- Experience in healthcare AP/RP disciplines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong prioritization, judgment, and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused approach and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail, time management, and adaptability.
- Motivated, autonomous, yet a collaborative team player with high loyalty and commitment.
