Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Contract Manager for a 6 Month FTC at a flagship site in Peterborough. You will lead an integrated FM delivery across Engineering, Cleaning, Security, Catering, and specialists, ensuring service excellence and compliance.

You will act as the primary client contact, manage budgets and KPIs, and drive improvements while leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role offers exposure to a global client and development opportunities.

• IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications are desirable.

ROLE: Contract Manager 6 Month FTC
LOCATION: Peterborough

We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services at a flagship 97,000m² manufacturing site in Peterborough. This fixed-term opportunity will oversee Engineering, Cleaning, Security, Catering and Specialist Suppliers, ensuring exceptional service delivery, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional FM service delivery.
• Manage contract performance, budgets, KPIs, reporting, audits and continuous service improvements.
• Oversee facilities maintenance, major works, subcontractors and procurement activities to meet contractual standards.
• Drive operational performance through effective CAFM management, maintenance planning and value-added initiatives.
• Lead and develop site teams while ensuring full compliance with health & safety, statutory and QHSE requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• City & Guilds, equivalent technical qualification, or significant facilities management experience within a client-facing environment.
• Proven experience managing FM contracts, including budgets, KPIs, subcontractors, procurement activities and service delivery performance.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, environmental compliance and QHSE requirements, with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications desirable.
• Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead teams and drive performance in fast-paced operational environments.
• Strong understanding of technical services, asset management, CAFM systems and integrated FM delivery within manufacturing, industrial, FMCG or similar environments.
