Job summary

Staffline is recruiting a Contract Maintenance Engineer for a night-shift temporary contract in the Pontefract area (Ferrybridge, A1, M62 access), 10pm–6am, Sunday to Thursday nights.

You will service, adjust and repair production machinery, examine equipment and report on condition and improvements, and carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules. An electrical bias with mechanical competence is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or mechanical engineering or similar manufacturing or automation.
• Or equivalent in electrical or mechanical fields preferably with a manufacturing background.
• A competent electrical or mechanical engineering professional with technical experience.
• Must be able to solve problems, PLC / automation experience ideally produce safe systems of work.
• Should be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of products, equipment, process or service.
• This is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role including conveyors and processing.
• Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is also essential.

Candidates who are currently a Contract Electrical Engineer, Contract Electrical Shift Engineer, mechanical maintenance engineer, Contract Multi Skilled Shift Engineer, Electrical Maintenance, Maintenance Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer, machine tool maintenance , Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Fitter, Plant Engineer, Electrician and Electrical Engineer and any equivalent background will be suitable for the role.
