Gap Technical is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (contract) to join their Crewe facility. You will identify root causes of faults, perform planned maintenance, and support improvements across shifts, with 4on4off night pattern.

The role requires experience in handling and automation environments, a multi-skilled background, and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Applications welcome from qualified engineers.

Responsabilités

• Identify and rectify root causes of machinery faults, supporting both day-to-day maintenance and long-term improvements.
• Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown response, and annual overhauls to ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff on machinery and operational processes.
• Maintain and calibrate critical machine settings to support improved efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute proactive maintenance strategies.
• Offer support and cover across teams as needed to meet operational demands.
• Drive initiatives to improve engineering practices, reduce downtime, and optimise plant performance.
