About us:
The Senior Continuous Improvement Manager role sits within the Transformation Office Directorate, reporting into the Head of Continuous Improvement. The Transformation Office supports the senior leadership of the university in effective strategy execution, delivering a complex set of transformation initiatives and driving sustainable improvements to our core business.
The role of the Senior CI Manager will involve engaging, encouraging and supporting colleagues across KCL to collaboratively develop and deliver solutions which deliver positive change for the KCL community (professional services staff, academics and students.
About the role:
As a Senior Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, you will lead a range of process improvement programmes and projects, applying CI methodology to identify root causes, reduce inefficiencies and eliminate waste. You’ll bring technical expertise and a structured approach to problem-solving, ensuring each initiative is driven by data and delivers meaningful, measurable results.
As part of this role, the Senior CI Manager will be responsible for training others in CI methodologies, including lean, Six Sigma, Agile and other best practices; tailoring content to the higher education environment. In addition, you’ll mentor and coach staff from across Kings to support their development in process improvement whilst promoting consistent ways of working.
The Senior CI Manager will also work closely with Faculty and Functional leadership to support the prioritisation and delivery of CI initiatives within their areas. You will play a key role in delivering engaging workshops that help teams understand and apply CI methodologies in their day-to-day work. Additionally, you’ll contribute to building a CI community, promoting collaboration, sharing best practices, and embedding a mindset of continuous improvement.
Beyond core responsibilities, you will also support wider priorities within the Transformation Office. Acting as a champion for the CI function, you’ll contribute to our ongoing development and help raise the profile and impact of our work across Kings.

*This is a full time position (35 hours per week) and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
