Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist (Pensions and Investment)

Location: Edinburgh, Alderley Edge or London

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

A newly created position is available for a Content Marketing Specialist with experience in pensions and investments-related content marketing planning and delivery. The role involves building our investment content strategy and delivering content plans to support our Brand & Marketing strategy and trading objectives.

The responsibilities include creating compelling content in various formats and media, collaborating with marketing teams to deploy content, measuring its effectiveness, and working closely with other business areas, including Royal London Asset Management, to repurpose relevant content.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in content marketing, preferably within the financial services industry.

About the role

• Plan, develop, and deliver investment content supporting the marketing plan, using appropriate formats and media.
• Ensure content activities support new business targets and strategic objectives, including building the Royal London brand.
• Manage day-to-day content planning and delivery, identifying relevant themes for adviser, customer, and employer audiences.
• Utilize data and insights to test, learn, and optimize content.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to support major campaigns and initiatives.
• Identify and coordinate internal specialists and external suppliers, managing relationships to ensure successful delivery.
• Work with other business areas to identify opportunities and develop compelling messages and content.

About you

• Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience in a similar role or a journalistic background.
• Experience creating content for various formats and audiences, including promotional and thought leadership content.
• Good knowledge of pensions and investments, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Understanding of FCA regulations related to content.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• A motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
