Job summary

Got The T-Shirt is seeking a Content Editor to join our Leeds-based SEO and content team. This hybrid role requires at least one year of copywriting or editing experience and a meticulous eye for detail.

You will review freelance writers’ work, ensure brand tone and SEO alignment, and maintain compliance. You’ll manage genres across web, blogs, social, email and paid media, while prioritising a busy content queue with support from the Senior Copywriter.

Qualifications

• Around 1 year’s experience in copywriting, editing or content quality.
• Excellent written English with strong attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of SEO content, including keywords and meta descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and proofreading content - grammar, spelling, punctuation, accuracy and quality.
• Keep content on brief - follow brand guidelines, tone of voice, SEO requirements and page purpose.
• Edit and rewrite to improve clarity, flow and structure while preserving intent.
• Check compliance across regulated content like insurance and healthcare.
• Evaluate headings, internal links, calls to action, and page scannability.
• Provide clear feedback to freelance writers and teammates.
• Handle multiple content formats including web content, blogs, social, email and paid copy.
• Manage content queue, prioritise work and meet deadlines when Senior Copywriter is unavailable.
• Keep QA logs, timesheets and trackers up to date.
• Contribute to style guides, QA processes and briefing templates.
