This role will also be tasked with supporting and maintaining our SIEM tools, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and integration with other security solutions.

Who we are

The UK’s fastest broadband network. The nation’s best-loved mobile brand. And, one of the UK's biggest companies too. Diverse, hard-working teams - jam-packed with serious talent. Together, we offer the UK more choice and better value, through our boundary-pushing, customer-championing values and ambitions. Together, we are Virgin Media O2, and we can't wait to see what you can do.

Virgin Media O2 is an equal opportunities employer, and we're working hard to remove bias and barriers for our people and candidates. We build equity and inclusion into everything we do, from the policies we craft to the relationships we shape. We support and encourage you to be your authentic self throughout your application journey with us.

The must haves

  • Strong experience in SIEM content development and SIEM tool administration.
  • Strong understanding of security operations, threat landscape, and threat detection methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (preference to Splunk and/or cloud native SIEMs like Azure Sentinel or Google Chronicle).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with SIEM API integrations.

The other stuff we are looking for

  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, or other SIEM-specific certifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field desirable but not required.

What's in it for you
