We need someone with a Microsoft tech-stack background who has experience as an Azure DevSecOps Consultant or a strong Unix/Linux Systems Administrator. We want someone with a development or coding background who has transitioned into Software Security / Cloud Security engineering. Strong Azure skills are essential; AWS experience is acceptable but not preferred.

Instead of a standard IT Operations background, we need you to have a Development background with solid software development experience, as you will mainly work with Developers and need to build trust and effective communication with them.

This role was successfully introduced into this company 2 years ago, and they are looking for someone to continue developing this function. You will work with cross-functional teams, so strong communication skills are necessary. There will be opportunities for growth, including leading a team as the company matures. This is a hands-on, lead role, ideal for someone with consultancy experience and practical skills.

A passion for modern security practices is essential, focusing on integrating security into daily workflows, automating, streamlining, and adopting a shift-left approach without compromising quality or security.

Experience Required:

• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator, Software Developer, or both
• Expertise in Cloud Security
• Passion for DevSecOps, with knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, SonarCloud, Wiz, and security tools like Trivy
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
• Ability to perform Rapid Risk Assessment and Threat Modeling
• Technical skills in Azure Security Monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder alignment and successful product delivery and support
