Job summary

Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle is seeking an experienced Consumables Stock Controller for a part-time role (22.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9:30am-2:00pm). The post involves managing consumables stock, stock checks, and liaison with procurement and clinical teams.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in warehousing/inventory management, solid Excel skills, and excellent organisation and communication abilities. NHS experience is desirable; a UK driving licence may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' warehousing/inventory management experience.
• Strong stock control experience.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels, inventory and ordering of consumables.
• Receive, check, store and rotate stock.
• Carry out regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Manage stock transfers, recalls, expired products and discrepancies.
• Liaise with suppliers, procurement and finance teams.
• Provide stock support to clinical teams.
