Job summary

Whittington Health Nhs Trust is recruiting a Supplies Officer to ensure clinical areas have a continuous supply of medical and surgical consumables in line with materials management systems.

You will visit clinical areas on an agreed schedule, undertake inventory using the Trust's Inventory Management System and put away stock on shelves when deliveries arrive; you may assist with day-to-day admin and provide purchasing support as directed by the Deputy Logistics Manager.

Qualifications

• GCSE grades A-C and A-levels are essential.
• Demonstrated work experience in a similar role.
• Good computer skills; NHS experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical areas have a continuous supply of medical and surgical consumables.
• Visit clinical areas on an agreed schedule and perform stock/inventory checks.
• Use the Trust's Inventory Management System to record inventory and put away deliveries.
• Assist with day-to-day administration of the Supplies Department and provide purchasing support as directed by the Deputy Logistics Manager.
