AJN Steelstock Limited invites applications for a sales-focused role. The position offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break.

The role involves handling calls, selling products and services, and advising customers on pricing within the steel industry. Applicants should be commercially minded, possess good negotiation skills, and be prepared to build lasting customer relationships while contributing to growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or customer-facing role is advantageous.
• Comfort with pricing discussions and consultative selling.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
• Sell company products and services with a consultative approach.
• Be commercially/technically aware of steel in construction, agriculture, architectural or automotive industries.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and respond to new enquiries.
• Pursue new clients to grow business and profitability with strong negotiation skills.
• Identify potential growth in existing and new accounts.
• Maintain records of transactions and support management reporting.
• Attend training courses as required.
• Follow health & safety procedures and liaise with HS&E Department.
• Follow quality and environmental management systems.
