Qualifications

• FRCS and GMC registration (licence to practise) are required.
• Experience in Upper GI/General Surgery with laparoscopic skills is essential.
• Proven ability to work in a NHS consultant role and participate in on-call/emergency rotas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver upper GI surgical care, including laparoscopic and hiatal hernia repair.
• Provide regular gastroscopy lists and contribute to emergency Upper GI surgery rota.
• Participate in training/mentoring of clinical staff and support CPD for the team.
• Contribute to development of emergency services and ambulatory care pathways.
