Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Upper GI Imaging for a busy department mainly at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, with duties across both sites. Part-time or flexible working arrangements are welcome, and contribution to an on-call rota is core to the role.

Fluoroscopic skills would be advantageous, and experience in ultrasound biopsy and drains would be welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Share in general imaging workload and sub-specialty reporting using PACS.
• Report general radiographic examinations across main sites and community locations.
• Maintain general radiology practice while contributing to sub-specialty areas.
• Work flexibly; participate in the on-call rota; overnight on-call may be outsourced.
• Perform general radiological sessions including cross-sectional imaging and ultrasound.
• Address GP and clinician queries; participate in clinico-radiological meetings.
• Involve in training junior radiology staff and multidisciplinary education.
