Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Uroradiology to join a busy department. The post will be mainly at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with responsibilities across both sites and dedicated sessions for acute and specialist imaging.

The role includes core imaging modalities, MDT participation, teaching opportunities, clinical governance and a commitment to on-call duties as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Support acute hospitals imaging common acute conditions with plain film, CT, MRI and ultrasound to a consistently high standard.
• Be a core member of the busy urology MDT, report specialist urology studies, and contribute to pathway improvements.
• Provide radiology advice to hospital doctors, MDT members and GPs by face-to-face, phone, and email.
• Guide radiographers and sonographers to improve imaging techniques.
• Participate in trials and audit meetings to drive clinical governance and service improvement.
• Develop enhanced skills in assessing and managing acutely ill patients.
• Work well in a multi-professional team and deliver national and local targets.
• Follow patients through their clinical pathways.
