Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Upper GI Imaging for a busy department, predominantly based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH), with duties across both hospital sites.

A second subspecialty interest can be accommodated; fluoroscopic skills would be advantageous, and experience in ultrasound biopsy and drains would be welcome.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
• FRCR or equivalent radiology qualification.
• Excellent knowledge of Cross-Sectional Imaging.
• Experience with CT, US, MRI and fluoroscopy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Share in the general imaging workload and report tumour-specific and sub-specialty cases.
• Contribute to general and sub-specialty reporting across main sites and community locations.
• Maintain a general radiology practice while contributing to sub-specialty areas.
• Participate in on-call rota and the organisation/administration of the Radiology department.
