Job summary

Brandon James is seeking a Consultant Quantity Surveyor to join its Sunderland office. You will deliver pre and post-contract services across a diverse North East portfolio, with project ownership from inception to final account and full APC support.

We require 2–3 years’ QS experience, a Degree in Quantity Surveying, and a drive toward MRICS accreditation. The role offers a structured career path, professional development, and a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar construction qualification.
• Around 2-3 years' consultancy or client-side Quantity Surveying experience.
• Good knowledge of pre and post-contract cost management.
• Experience with procurement, valuations, cost reporting and contract administration.
• Working knowledge of JCT contracts.
• Willingness to travel across the North East and hold a UK driving licence.
• MRICS accreditation path or ambition.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre and post-contract services from inception to completion.
• Provide cost management, procurement, valuations and contract administration.
• Work across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, local authority and residential.
• Support APC training and MRICS pathway.
