Job description

Consultant in General Radiology with special interest in Gastrointestinal Imaging

LNWUH NHS Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated radiologist to join a team of 60 consultants, three staff grade doctors, and 23 registrars working collaboratively across the three sites to provide high-quality imaging service.

The successful candidate will contribute to the broad spectrum of work undertaken by our consultant radiologists as detailed in the job description.

The posts are based at Ealing and Central Middlesex Hospitals. Post-holders will be expected to cover activities on multiple sites, as required. Commitments will include relevant MDTs, imaging-guided procedures, plain radiograph, CT, and MRI reporting.

Applications should contain names and addresses of three referees (one of which should be your current or most recent employer), details of GMC registration, and CCT (or evidence of eligibility to apply for CCT). Applicants who apply for more than one post may not be considered.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion within six months of the interview date.

General responsibilities will include acute, elective, and on-call work. Teaching and training are actively encouraged. There will be an on-call commitment which will include weekend working. Opportunities for teaching and management are ample.

The department is highly regarded across London, having developed innovative and integrated solutions in response to the changing needs of patients and clinical teams.

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) cares for the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, and beyond.

Our team of more than 8,200 clinical and support staff serve a diverse population of almost one million people.

We run major acute services at:

St Mark’s Hospital: an internationally renowned specialist centre for bowel disease.

Ealing Hospital: a busy district general hospital providing a range of clinical services, as well as a 24/7 emergency department and urgent care centre, and specialist care at Meadow House Hospice.

Central Middlesex Hospital: our planned care site, hosting a range of surgical and outpatient services and collocated with an urgent care centre.

We are a university teaching NHS trust, in recognition of the important role we play in training clinicians of the future and bringing the benefits of research to the public.
