Job Description:

Join a friendly and well-established veterinary practice in South London with a rich history of delivering exceptional patient/client care to the local community. We are currently seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to become part of our team.

About Us

At Southwark veterinary practice there is a great team working atmosphere and a strong culture of empathy, growth, and collaboration. Led by a Branch Partner who holds a certificate in Small Animal Medicine, the 3-vet team is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. We are supported by a fantastic team, including our experienced HRVN, SVN, PCA, and a dedicated Receptionist. In addition, we are currently recruiting for a second RVN.

We take pride in keeping the majority of procedures in-house, which provides a rich caseload and gives us access to our nearby hospital for more complex cases. As we continue to grow, we anticipate the acquisition of a new ultrasound machine. Therefore, a candidate with an interest in diagnostics would complement our team exceptionally well.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily duties will include consults, routine surgeries, dentals, x-rays, and more. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of clinical care to your clients and patients, ensuring compliance, and fostering a progressive clinical culture within the team. Demonstrating a strong customer focus and managing the consistent delivery of exceptional care across the client journey will be crucial. You will also play a key role in supporting the team and helping to develop skills where required.

Skills and Experience

To thrive in this role, you should be:

  • RCVS registered with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • A team player, working collaboratively within the practice and with wider colleagues
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • A strong all-rounder, confident in routine surgeries and consults

The Practice

Our practice, located in the heart of London, is an ideal place to further your career with ample support for developing routine and other soft tissue surgeries. We have everything we need to provide great care, including two consult rooms, a fully equipped theater, digital x-ray facilities, a blood pressure machine, ECG, and a full laboratory, including a microscope, haematology, and biochemistry analyzers.

The Area

Our practice is situated in a fantastic location with London Bridge and Borough Market right at your doorstep. You’ll enjoy easy access to the London Underground’s Northern and Jubilee Lines, making your commute a breeze. Join our team and become a vital part of a vibrant and supportive veterinary community in the heart of South London.

If you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a Veterinary Surgeon with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) upon arrival in the UK, we can provide support with a Certificate of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 Visa. Additionally, a relocation package is available for this role.
