The Chronic Pain Service at BHRUT seeks to appoint two Consultants in Chronic Pain with an interest in Anaesthesia. Applicants should have relevant experience in Chronic Pain Management and Anaesthesia.
Main duties of the job
The Trust aims to appoint a Consultant in Chronic Pain Management. This is a full-time position sharing caseload and facilities with existing consultants. The role involves 10 PAs, including 8.5 programmed activities and 1.5 SPA.
The multidisciplinary team provides a range of Pain Management interventions, including seminars, group and individual treatments, and Pain Management Programmes.
The team comprises 4 Pain Consultants, 1 Clinical Psychologist, 3 Physiotherapists, 2 Nurses, and administrative support. They collaborate on pathways such as Low Back Pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Neuromodulation, Opioid reduction, and medical interventions. The team participates in regional, national, and international societies.
