Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) seeks a Consultant in Cellular Pathology to join the expanding team at NMCPS. You will report across subspecialty areas and contribute to a high-volume diagnostic service with teaching commitments.

Qualifications

• UK GMC registration or eligibility within six months of interview.
• CCT or equivalent qualification for UK practice.
• Evidence of equivalence to UK CCT as needed.
• FRCPath or equivalent qualification is desirable.
• Higher Medical Degree (PhD/MD) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Specialist reporting in GI, dermatopathology, gynaecological, pulmonary, breast, urological, head and neck, Soft Tissue and Bone pathology.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and medical education.
• Lead and engage in audit, research, and quality improvement within pathology.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and mentor trainees within NMCPS.

Full and Specialist GMC registration / licence to practice

Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)

Equivalence to UK CCT

FRCPath or equivalent qualification

Higher Medical Degree (PhD/MD)
