Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Histopathologist with a breast subspecialty to join a proactive team delivering high-quality cancer services across multiple sites. The post supports breast screening and symptomatic services, with flexibility for mono-specialism or breast subspecialty.

The successful candidate will participate in MDT meetings, supervise trainees, contribute to teaching and research, and help develop digital pathology and audit

Qualifications

• Higher specialist training in area relevant to post.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register or CCT within 6 months.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• GMC Registration or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• MDT meetings related to areas of specialist histopathology reporting.
• Flexible/direct clinical care activities and supporting professional activities.
• Supervision and training of trainees, teaching and research.
• IT equipment and training provided; office space and secretarial support available.

Education
