Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Nottinghamshire is recruiting a Consultant in Histopathology to contribute to diagnostic reporting, teaching and digital pathology services. The post requires GMC registration with a licence to practise or within six months of a CCT.

Applicants should hold or be within six months of CCT and have a FRCPath or equivalent; a research degree in Histopathology is desirable.

Qualifications

• FRCPath or equivalent is required.
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise or within 6 months of CCT is required.
• A research degree in Histopathology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic reporting and reporting in line with RCPath guidelines.
• Participate in quality assurance and annual appraisal.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to policy development and teaching.
• Support departmental operations and the digital pathology project.
