University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust seeks up to two Consultant Hepatologists to join an expanding hepatology service across three hospital sites and community settings in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The role includes 21–24 inpatient hepatology beds, a 1:17 GI bleed on-call rota, outpatient clinics and endoscopy sessions, with flexible and weekend working.

In addition to clinical duties, the post offers SPA time (up to 2.5 PAs) and opportunities to contribute to teaching,

Qualifications

• MB BS or Equivalent.
• Full GMC Registration via one of the following routes - Fully Accredited (CCT) or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date, or CESR.
• MRCP/MRCS or Equivalent.
• Current BLS certificate.

Responsabilités

• Provide hepatology outpatient clinics and endoscopy sessions across UHL and community settings.
• Participate in service development and business planning with CMG, GPs and commissioners.
• Teach, supervise and participate in medical education, audits and CPD, with involvement in JAG training.
