Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Hepatologist to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology team at the Luton & Dunstable University Hospital. The appointee will run hepatology and gastroenterology clinics and endoscopy sessions, and participate in the OOH bleed rota and ward cover.

The job plan will include clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities with annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Active involvement in CME and continuing medical education.
• Commitment to clinical audit and clinical governance.
• Ability to lead and support junior medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead hepatology and gastroenterology clinics and endoscopy sessions.
• Participate in OOH bleed rota and ward cover model.
• Contribute to audit programmes and clinical governance.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and professional development.
