University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) invites applications for up to two Consultant Hepatologists to join an expanding hepatology service across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The post offers diverse inpatient, outpatient and endoscopy work with opportunities for flexible and weekend sessions.

Formación

• MB BS or equivalent medical degree and GMC registration.
• MRCP/MRCS or equivalent qualification.
• Fully trained in hepatology/gastroenterology with JAG accreditation.
• Leadership and governance experience within NHS settings.
• Trained in ERCP and EUS; fibroscan capability.
• Commitment to teaching and training of medical staff.

Responsabilidades

• Provide hepatology inpatient and outpatient services across UHL and community settings.
• Participate in 1:17 GI bleed rota and manage 21–24 inpatient beds.
• Lead service development, governance, CPD, and teaching activities.
• Engage with Endoscopy Training Academy and JAG training courses.
