University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Hepatologist. The post is based at the Royal Derby Hospital site, within a vibrant team of hepatology consultants and luminal gastroenterologists, delivering a 24/7 liver and GI service.

The role offers opportunities for professional and leadership development within a supportive NHS framework, with on‑site endoscopy facilities and ongoing collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide hepatology services as part of the combined gastroenterology/hepatology team.
• Collaborate with the team of 6 hepatology consultants and 14 luminal gastroenterologists to deliver a 24/7 gastroenterology and liver service.
• Take part in an on‑call rota for gastroenterology and GI bleeds, including involvement with endoscopy and related procedures.
