Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Consultant Ecologist for its Newcastle team. The role involves carrying out protected species and habitat surveys, completing PEAs and EcIAs, and supporting Biodiversity Net Gain projects across the UK.

You will produce technical reports and mitigation strategies, manage projects, and liaise with clients and contractors. A relevant degree and consultancy survey experience are required, with a full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related subject.
• Consultancy experience with ecological surveys and assessments.
• Protected species survey experience; licences advantageous.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or within commuting distance of Newcastle office.

Responsibilities
