The role involves working from 8:45 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call advice rota.
Following the retirement of the current post holder, we invite applications for a full-time Consultant Clinical Scientist in the Biochemistry Department at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The successful candidate will support the Clinical Biochemistry service across North Glasgow, playing a strategic and clinical role within the laboratory. An interest in laboratory IQC/EQA, automation, and immunoassay is advantageous.
Responsibilities include reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching, and audit.
Applicants should have advanced specialist knowledge, significant Clinical Biochemistry experience, HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist, an MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry, and FRCPath qualification.
