NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The post involves a shift pattern from 8.45 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call advice rota. We are inviting applications for a full-time Consultant Clinical Scientist to join our team at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, following the retirement of the current post holder.
You will join a team of 4 consultant staff and 7 clinical scientists within the Biochemistry Department. The successful candidate will support the Clinical Biochemistry service across the North Glasgow Sector and will play a key strategic and clinical role in the core laboratory functions. An interest in laboratory IQC/EQA, automation, and immunoassay is desirable.
