Job summary

SearchPlus HR is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a leading government healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves delivering expert surgical care for complex cardiac and thoracic conditions, performing advanced procedures, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The candidate will engage in preoperative planning, postoperative care, and ongoing professional development within a high-quality surgical program.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Western qualification preferred (UK CCT/CCST, US boards, Canadian Royal College, Australian FRACS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.
• Perform CABG, valve repair and replacement, and other advanced cardiothoracic surgeries.
• Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and other professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical decision-making.
• Maintain accurate medical records and surgical logbooks.
• Contribute to audits, CME, teaching, and professional development.
