Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for Consultants in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia to join a leading cardiac surgery team. The role involves contributing to perioperative care and a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary environment.

The successful candidate must be GMC-registered with a licence to practise and have completed Specialist Training (or equivalent). They should be entered on the Specialist Register, or have a CCT date within six months of interview.

Responsibilities

• Duties of the Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia consultant role including an indicative job plan will be outlined in the supporting documents.
• Provide high-level perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery and participate in the on-call rota.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and optimal outcomes.
