Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Surgical Care Practitioner.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Demonstrable competence in EVH and ERAH.
• Master’s-level education or willingness to work towards it.
• Current UK professional registration.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• DBS check and visa sponsorship considerations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures and patient care.
• Perform pre-operative assessments and evaluate harvesting sites.
• Arrange and interpret investigations and provide intra-operative support.
• Educate patients and carers about treatment options and risks.
• Lead development of SCP team and supervise trainees.
• Contribute to audits, research and service improvement initiatives.
