Our employment offers are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. At Practice Plus Group, we actively promote diversity and equal opportunities. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
What you'll be doing
Based at Barlborough, an Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery Hospital, you will provide anaesthetic services to support elective orthopaedics and spinal surgery. You will be part of a state-of-the-art anaesthetic team delivering advanced techniques to enable same-day discharge after knee and hip replacements.
Your role includes providing pre- and post-operative assessment of patients and delivering clear written information to the patients' GPs. As a key team member, you will work closely with our Consultants across various specialisms, the hospital’s Medical Director, Marco, and the local Leadership Team. You will also contribute to developing Clinical Quality Standards and participate in audit and clinical governance programs.
What we’ll look for in you
You must be registered with the GMC’s specialist register of anaesthetics with several years of experience, at least 2 of which are in the UK. You should be committed to ongoing medical education and professional development. We support your continuous competence through participation in GMC and Royal College of Anaesthetists revalidation and reaccreditation schemes, along with our in-house education programs. There may also be opportunities to develop into a specialist role of your interest.
Our focus is on providing high standards of safe and effective patient care. Joining Practice Plus Group means building a career, not just having a job. We will work with you to grow in your role and help you achieve your career goals, whether that involves advancement or staying in your current position. We aim to support you in becoming the best you can be.
